Plein Air Acrylic Painting Workshop with Nancy Roberts

  • Age range: Adults age 18 and up
  • Skill level: Open to all levels, some drawing experience is recommended

Remaining PAL Workshop Schedule fpr 2024 and 2025

Peeta Tinay, extraordinary basket weaver, demonstrated her basket weaving skills at our PAL General Meeting several months ago. She will be providing a one-day workshop on Saturday, November
16, 2024 at the Firehouse Arts Center’s small upstairs studio. Mark your calendar. Each participant will make a small basket in this workshop and supplies will be provided for the workshop. There will be only ten spots available.

Award-winning California water color artist, Jeannie Vodden,will provide a demonstration at our GeneralMeeting in October 2024. Jeannie will also do a Saturday/Sunday workshop in late January or earlyFebruary of 2025. Look for the registration details for this workshop.

Ongoing Figure Drawing Workshop, Friday mornings, 9:30 to 12:30, Bothwell Arts Center, Livermore. No instructor. Open to all artists over 18, under 18 with parental permission in writing. Professional models are from the Bay Area Models Guild and pose mostly nude, but sometimes with costumes or props. We average about 5 female models to 1 male, all different body types and ages. We start off with gestures, then two 10 minutes poses, then 20 minute poses (unless we love it and we have the model do it again). We do gestures and then one long pose on the last Friday of the month. Tables, chairs, drawing boards and table easels are provided. Bring your own standing easel and drawing/painting materials. Only odorless turpenoid please. Soft music is played. Refreshments are served.
