PAL’s 15th Members’ Show at Museum on Main

Imagination Expressed 2023

Presented by Pleasanton Art League & Museum on Main

Wednesday, January 18 to Saturday, March 25, 2023

PAL will kick off 2023 with its 15th Members’ Show at Museum on Main (MoM) called “Imagination Expressed 2023.” 

This Members’ show is the longest of the year – it will hang for 67 days of which MoM will be open 49 days. MoM is in the heart of Pleasanton easily attracting foot traffic.

This is a unique show for PAL members in that each member can enter up to three pieces, either 2D or 3D plus case entries! This year the show will be judged by David Savellano, and $550 in cash prizes will be awarded! Register early because according to what artwork can be accommodated, artworks with a later date of entry may be excluded.

So, start painting, sculpting or jewelry making plus remember to renew your PAL membership early! Let’s make this show a members’ show to remember.

PAL 2023 Membership

PAL Membership is valid for one calendar year (January 1 – December 31). Members must renew their membership every January to continue receiving PAL benefits. Please remember to include your yearly gallery subscription fee as well if you already have a PAL Gallery page!

PAL JMH Exhibit 2022Presented by Pleasanton Art League & John Muir Health

Monday, May 23 to Thursday, July 14

The Auxiliary Board’s Art Committee of John Muir Health’s Walnut Creek Medical Center has invited the Pleasanton Art League to showcase and sell artwork at JMH from May 23 to July 14, 2022. This juried show is only open to PAL members.

In keeping with the intended audience, the title of our show is: “Healing Spaces.”  We are looking for artworks promoting a sense of well-being. Animals, landscapes, nature, abstract works, and portraits are accepted, but the should contain political or controversial content. This is an opportunity for PAL artists to offer support to the healing community and its patients during these challenging times. In addition, in support of JMH community initiatives, PAL will donate $200 to the Auxiliary on behalf of the artists.

Jody Mattison

This show will be juried and judged by Jody Mattison. The John Health Muir facility can accommodate 40 pieces of 2D artworks. Jody will jury artworks from entry images and, after viewing the exhibition, she will award prizes.

Jody holds a Masters of Fine Art from the Academy of Art University, is an established exhibitor with work juried into such prestigious shows as the Crocker-Kingsley Biennial. She has taught college and adult art classes in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 18 years. She has been published in International Artist magazine, and has private commissions in collections internationally. She co-directs Lynn House Gallery in Antioch, and teaches onsite and online at both the Community Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek and at her private studio, Antioch Atelier.
