Larry Gipson
Watercolor/Acrylics
Larry Gipson is a noted, award-winning Bay Area artist. The beauty of his paintings is expressed through selective realism (as he likes to call it) and a variety of subject matter. He 'revisits' places he has traveled as he captures scenes from his trips in his paintings.
Larry is a 1958 graduate of the California College of Arts and Crafts
in Oakland, CA, at which time he began a 33-year career in graphic
arts, retiring in 1991. Since then he has won numerous awards in
local and regional juried art shows.
Larry is a member of the Livermore Art Association, Pleasanton Art
League and the Tracy Art League. He participates in several shows
during the year, including the Delicato Fine Arts Show, Tracy Art
League's Expressions Show, Art in the Vineyard, Art Under the Oaks,
Montmarte at Carnegie Park, the Livermore Valley Harvest Festival,
as well as many of the local county fairs. His work can be seen
in many Bay Area businesses and private collections. |
