A Message from PAL's President, Linda Jeffery Sailors
The PAL Board of Directors has several newly retired members. We would
like to thank the retiring Program chairperson, Sonal Shah, who will
take over the position of Scholarship Chairperson. Also retiring is the
Workshop chairperson, Linda Beach, and Charlotte Severin, who represented
us on the Pleasanton Cultural Arts council (PCAC). All have done an outstanding
job for PAL. We cannot thank them enough for their past work for PAL's
benefit. Please say thank you to them when you see them. Good long-time
volunteers are very special people.
I would like to introduce you to the new PAL Board members. Taking
the Program Chairmanship will be Rahul Prasad. He has some good ideas
and we look forward to some interesting programs. The new Workshop Chairperson
is Rebecca Chou. She is enthusiastic about the job and will be assisted
by Grace Rankin at the Carol Maddox workshop in June. There is still
room in the workshop if you want to attend. Call her at 510-209-5348.
Rekha Joshi will be representing us on the PCAC and has already attended
one of the meetings in our name.
PAL is looking for someone to take over
the management of our website. If you know anyone with some website experience,
please let me know.
